Does it work in languages other than English?

Yes. It uses Google Gemini, which natively understands 100+ languages. A guest who messages in Spanish gets answered in Spanish — no per-restaurant translation setup.

Can it escalate to a human?

Yes. If a question goes beyond what the agent should answer (e.g. a complaint, a private event request), the conversation is held with a clear escalation flag in the dashboard so a manager can follow up.

What about phone calls?

Voice / phone AI is not yet supported. We will not claim a feature we haven't shipped. The agent handles conversational text channels — web chat, widget, and direct integrations.

Does it remember the guest across visits?

Yes, via the per-restaurant memory layer (semantic + episodic memory tied to phone number or guest ID). Repeat guests get personalised conversations without you setting up a CRM.
